"Why are you crying?" his brother asked as he saw the tears in her eyes. She was so concentrated and touched by the story she had been reading not realizing that she had been crying while reading.

"Nothing, the story I was reading just got me emotional" she told her little brother.

"Okay," then he left. She stood up and went her way to the kitchen to where her mom was.

Her mom was starting to prepare food for dinner.

My name is Keira Maloney. Turning eighteen in a few months. I'm a simple, not so noticeable, bookworm type of girl. I love books. Yes, that was obvious. I live in a small town where everyone knows everyone. I have 2 brothers, one older than me, Caleb, who is in the state university taking up architecture and my little brother, Colin, who is only 8 years old. My mom, Moira, is a teacher in the public pre-school of our town. My dad, Conrad is a public accountant. We live in a middle class two-storey house with white picket fence. The typical family house in our area.

"hi mom, what are you making?" I asked while opening the refrigerator and taking a pitcher of lemonade that mom made this morning. I took a glass from the cupboard and poured some of her lemonade.
