Eyeing him wary. “Is that it?”
“Would you like to discuss the matter in more detail?” he asked and she shook her head. “Good night Alexandra.”
He turned his attention back to his diary. With lips pressed firmly together, she walked out with a frown, afraid if she said more, the dreadful conversation might continue.
Why does he always dismiss me like that? She wondered while closing the door with a soft thud. Leaning against the door, the air in her lungs escaped in a huff. What I won’t do to keep my freedom! It took a second for her to recover, before she could bring herself to head in the direction of her room.

Diane sat at the bottom of the glass stairs. “What did you do this time?” the petite, auburn haired bodyguard asked curious.
“I would rather not talk about it right now, if you don’t mind,” she said tired.
“As you wish,” she agreed a bit worried.
“Is my brother still awake?”
“He turned in early.”
“Oh,” she said, unable to keep the disappointment out of her voice. “When do you think, he will let me visit again?”
Diane shrugged sighing heavily. I love this house of steel and glass, except tonight. It is busy suffocating me to death. I need you Xander, but for months, you have been in a world of your own. Come back to me, her mental-self pleaded.
