The girls didn't like lying to their aunt but they didn't want to put anymore hardship onto their family. They were thankful for having them in their lives other wise they would have been seperaated and more likely put into a foster home. Every so often they stopped in at the library but the librarian that they had spoken with that day wasn't working. The girls learned that she was leave to help another city's library
The girls liked reporting and taking pictures of the fall festival. They liked the hayride through the haunted maze. They got a lot of pictures of their fellow classmates sharing a good time with the community. Their Christmas fundraiser brought in a lot of dollars for the new community center. The rest of their seventh grade was taking pictures and articles about their fellow students for the yearbook.

When the yearbook came out not one student of theirs even acknowledge their hard work. In fact they shunned them. The whole class wrote in everybody's book. Amber wrote in Ashley's book and vise versa. They even used different color pens and even turned the book different angles and faked the other students names. They showed it to their uncle Sam who was undergoing his third round of treatments for his cancer
