Dhivya obeyed him so she went to kitchen murmuring the chants and prepared the coffee as per his likes. Sridhar brushed and washed his face then came to sit on the chair his legs folded one above the above and saw Suresh, the younger brother to Adhira who was studying 12th also Uma, the youngest to both Suresh and Adhira who was in her ninth standard. They both saw their dad and with fear they both went to him and asked for money for their bus fare.
Sridhar saw both and shouted,”Dhivya, get my purse.”
Dhivya handed the money purse and coffee to him. Sridhar took Rs.50 and handed to Suresh while he gave Rs.25 to Uma. Uma saw him and said,” Dad, It takes Rs. 27.50 for to and fro.”
He gave an angry look at her and handed the exact Rs.2.50 to her. She took it with shivering hands and they both walked out to catch their bus. Dhivya went to the gate and saw both of them leaving.
Sridhar then handed the coffee cup to Dhivya and asked,” Where is Adhira?”
“She has her final exams so she went to college early.”
“Oh! There is an alliance for her. They asked if they can see her today evening. I will call them and tell to come by tomorrow evening so make sure that you inform her to come early tomorrow.”
