While Shyamala’s parents were in glory and felt proud of being the marriage –in-law of Sivasankar, the bridegroom people and some of the women folk of Santhanam were envious of the luck, stroke of luck or blind luck that would prosper the life of Shyamala. None of their sons or daughters got married to such high status as Santhanam. So they were jealousy on bride’s parents.
“Excuse me,” one among the audience stood up and made a request, “could you tell me his contact number of his residential address?”
“Sorry; I’ve forgotten to ask him. However, I hope to meet him again sometime and if I get the chance, I will collect all details.” Baskar replied.
“One more question, please,” another started asking him question. “Without the knowledge of your parents, this marriage took place. When your parents come to know, will they agree with it?”
“This depends upon my persuading my parents. Whether my parents agree or disagree, I am not going to desert my Shyamala, because she is above my soul.” Baskar asserted.
At that time, Shyamala stood up, received mike from him and addressed to the audience: “This is not a Press-report meeting to ask question and answering. Before winding up my speech, I would like to reveal certain matters to you. I had a similar experience that my fiancé underwent.. Yes, last night I had a strange experience. Someone telepathized to me that my marriage with Ramana will not take place but with the person namely Baskar from Pattinam who will be seated in the last row with his ravishing and gorgeous safari dress, coat and suit. The person augured well that my life will be glorious and happy after my marriage with him. I thought that it might be my reflection of whim and fancy. However, I told my friend, Suhasini about my freakish experience. I request my friend, Suhasini to come to the dais and say whether it is true or not.”
