That weekend Ariel decided to just hang out with Alexia. On the way to a movie Ariel asked her friend if driving a car was difficult. Alexia said no you do have to have a drivers license and learn the rule book for driving. They past this big lighted parking lot of a closed shopping mall. Alexia pulled in and told Ariel please don't wreck my car.
Ariel was an instant pro at driving. Alexia pulled her driver's manual out of the glove compartment. Ariel just glided through it. Alexia asked her questions and she aced all of them. She even knew the hand signals. She also knew all of the street signs. The next morning Alexia drove Ariel to the drivers bureau. she aced the test and got her driver's license.
The next thing the two did was go shopping and got Ariel a purse with a card wallet in it. She put her driver's license in it. She was provided with enough money to buy her a nice little Volkswagon Beetle. On Sunday after getting up early she had Alexia drive her to the car dealership where she had seen cars that resemble what she thought was a car in her other world She liked two cars on the lot.
One was a Sandstone Yellowish color and the other was deep Sea Teal Metallic. She thought about the terrain on her other world and decided the Sandstone Yellowish one would fit in too mush and wouldn't be noticeable, like the car dealer brochure suggested to get a color that would stand out to avoid accidents. The process took about two hours long even with cash in her hands, but after she got insurance on the car she was allowed to buy it . She transferred her things out of Alexia's car into her brand new car and set out for the Johnson Space center in Houston, Texas.
She didn't arrived in the early morning hours of her check in date. She was suppose to be ready to start her classes that very same day. The clerk on duty informed her that the other students had already arrived and were sleeping so she needed to be very quiet. Ariel tried to do everything right but at this point it didn't seem like it was enough.
She wasn't sure what to wear but she thought one of her street length dresses would be if not appropriate at least acceptable. She found her study books and schedule on her desk. After showering and dressing she had just enough time to go through her schedule before the bell for her first class chimed. That bell said she had fifteen minutes to find her way to class.
