Some descriptions arepleonastic (repetition of same sense in different words) while some are prolix (tediously prolonged or tending to speak or write at great length) for which Moghana doubted whether Sunder’s behavior was an outrageous flaunt. In a nut shell it is nothing but deadwood. (Unnecessary words or phrases or exposition, expendable verbiage) But she didn’t point out it to him.
Sunder smiled at her by signing the plantain fruit to her.
Moghana understood what he meant by signing the fruit to her. She blushed by his naughty signal and winks(suggestive of sexual impropriety) She racily smiled by uttering,” சீ ! நீங்க ரொம்ப மோசம்!
Her racy smile followed by her lusty utterance drove him mad. He took the plantain fruit which looked like his phallus and on seeing his readiness, Moghana asked Sunder,” Are you not going to consume it?”
“I would like to consecrate (render holy by means of religious rites) now.”
Moghana could not construe what he meant to say. So she arcuated her eyebrows and with wonder asked him, “Consecration?”
“Yes,” he nodded and added,” It’s an offertory”
“Offertory!, Moghana uttered the word with exclamation and looked at him strangely.
“Don’t you know what is called offertory? It means the offerings of the congregation at a religious service...”
“Okay, in what way is it concerned with the plantain fruit?” When Moghana asked him, she felt that his fingers were busy in rolling up her gown.
