Dantalion of the Goetia: Taste the Obsession of a Demon - Page 15/108

I envisioned I was there, in the Courtyard of the Undead, standing inside a circle, words being recited. I fought to free myself from whatever grasped me there. I felt the sharpness of something drawing into my bare skin…and the amber yellow glow in the darkness…a whisper calling the name Lilith. I woke up and raced to my bathroom, flicking on the light. Gashes and blood trailed across my arms and into my hair. That's when I knew it was real. That's what drove me mad. I've tried to make sense of the nightmares. I can't place why I see this demon constantly.

Rowan walked me downtown toward campus the next morning. He seemed to know everyone along the way.

As we were passing the tattoo shop on State Street, I felt a cold wave wash over my body. I was compelled to look inside. I caught a glimpse of a shadow - something strange that moved away really fast.

"Wait a second, STOP! It's there!" I yelled.

Rowan peered inside where I was pointing. "I don't see anything" he smirked.

He thought I was crazy. I knew what I saw. We kept walking, heading downtown to visit our friend Erin before class.

Erin lived downtown off campus near Yale. I texted her and she met us at the coffee shop by the green. Erin was also a student at Yale, a Religious Studies Major like me. She had tons of scholarships and grants for school. She liked it closer to downtown than I did. She always tried to introduce me to her "campus" crowd, but I never really hung out with any of them, other than the usual studying at the campus libraries and going out once in awhile.

Erin was petite with reddish brown hair. She was pretty without any makeup and was really reserved. She always had an analytical way of thinking. She thought with her head, never with her heart like I did. Erin was Rowan's type, both great listeners.

They both agreed, along with Lucia, our other friend, to be a part of my Coven. We used to practice rituals every week or so, then it became once a month. It finally came down to my solitary practice at home, since school was taking up way too much time, and Dantalion was depleting me of my energy. Not everyone had the ability to practice magick, or possess clairvoyance, but I mastered them both.

"What's good?" Rowan said to Erin.

"Hey Rowan" Erin was grabbing her homework out of her bag as it practically dragged her to the ground.
