Dantalion of the Goetia: Taste the Obsession of a Demon - Page 59/108

"Dantalion, what has become of the other demons of the Goetia?" Druitte asked.

"They will remain sealed within the bronze vessel. All seventy two demons each hath powers of great magnitude. We, like the armies of the thirty six legions, must pay allegiance to whoever evokes us," Dantalion confided.

The demons of the Goetia knew Dantalion was shown mercy by the third heaven in his punishment. He was not subjected to be sealed like the others. Of all the demons, only Dantalion was a guardian of mankind.

"My brother demons cannot be summoned by those who have befallen the same curse. I hath tried to release them many times before. I still try to seek out immortal blood that shall set them free. Only immortal souls, or a mortal's embodiment of an immortal soul, can evoke us," Dantalion confirmed.

Count Druitte reminded Dantalion's armies, "Lord Dantalion hath saved us from our prison. He hath set the thirty six legions free!

Unlike his brother demons of the Goetia, Dantalion's armies were released like him, but still remain condemned in their demonic form, nonetheless.

"All of us must answer to our own transgressions. I know that even the fallen can reclaim their salvation, even you, Count Druitte," Dantalion assured them.

The army of demons stood up with their razor sharp claws and glowing eyes, armed with spiritual weapons and vengeance on behalf of their leader, Duke Dantalion. Summoned by Dantalion and given their freedom, they were willing to die for him.

Dantalion's loyal followers kept his realm under watchful eye. They prepared a feast in his honor and that of his thirty six legions of spirits.

When I woke, I was led by his most trusted follower, the demon I saw the night of Samhain with the short, spiked hair. He assured me I was safe, and was promised to be taken to Dantalion. As we walked, I eyed several chambers with forged seals of metals, glowing above their names etched into stone.

"What are they?" I asked Dantalion's follower.

"Those with seals of metal that blaze hot represent the demons of the Goetia whose servitude has met the passing of two ages…" he answered.

"What does that mean?" I inquired, curious I never knew about it from any of the writings.

"It is not written in the grimoire. Only the demons of the Goetia know when their time draws near," he replied in an optimistic tone.

"What happens when their time is near?" I asked more curious now than before.
