Dantalion of the Goetia: The Summoning - Page 29/67

"That is true, Dantalion, though since the girl has been branded by us, and condemned to a slow death, we took it upon ourselves to show mercy," Satan reached for my body.

"Get your claws away from her… it wasn't her time!"

"We can, my brother, offer you a wager. We keep the girl with us, heal her, and after the eighteen month purification, will then summon for you, Guardian Angel. We all know your powers of healing have diminished. I doubt your angelic hierarchy would permit a possessed demon into the third heaven?" Belial sneered.

Leviathan had already begun diminishing what was left of my human spirit, while Satan was ecstatic about my returning to the Southern Infernal Realm with him once again.

"Dantalion, what say you?" the four demons addressed him at once.

Dantalion knew I was of immortal blood, but also a possessed demon. Where the hell was Rowan? He was supposed to be helping look after me. Where were the rest of the Demons of the Goetia? They were bound to pay allegiance to both Dantalion and Rowan. Rowan was still guardian of Gwynnedd. There were many options but none of them would help me right now. He knew the powers of the Four Kings of Hell could heal me, and until he summoned up Rowan and the legions, he would have to go along with them.

Lucifer addressed the initiates patiently waiting within the circle.

"The initiation will resume here in The Tomb in eighteen months, at which time all shall be admitted pending individual tests of your loyalty to the Brotherhood," nodding permission for them to leave.

"Which realm are you taking her to?" Dantalion protested.

"Since the girl has warmed up to me, she's mine," Satan sneered.

"Remember… eighteen months of purification. Do you know what that means, brothers?" Dantalion questioned them. "I will visit each of you within your realms, with whomever I so choose, and inflict trials and tests upon you, all of which you must pass. Only then will you be allowed to call upon the Holy Guardian Angel at which time the oath will be signed."

"Remember, Guardian Angel, we still have the girl, the four demons reminded him.

"Yes, but you must do as I say, when I say," Dantalion commanded.

Erin and Lucia inched closer toward the back door of The Tomb, peering inside.

"We shouldn't even be here."

"Yea, well when it comes to Laurel, there's a lot of things we shouldn't do," Lucia complained.
