Dantalion of the Goetia: The Summoning - Page 50/67

"I think we should stay in the dark. I wager the Angel of Death Samael should be there."

Dantalion clenched the medallion, releasing Gwynnedd into the blackness of the Northern Realm.

"Now is your freedom from exile," he commanded the 'Succubus' to seek out Samael.

Gwynnedd wasted no time leading them straight to the Angel of Death. He too had the appearance of both dark and light, as Belial, only the deception in his eyes revealed he was the true keeper of the dead. Belial convinced Samael to do his bidding, wagering once the oath was upon them, the Angel of Death could leave Belial's Realm with Gwynnedd for eternity. Samael kept in the shadows, uncertain if Gwynnedd was one of Belial's illusions.

"My eyes burn past the blackness, divided between doubt and fate. If you tread in the realm that is death, you have sealed your destiny," Samael chanted.

Rowan leaned in closer toward Dantalion in a whisper. "I thought they were in love. What…. The Angel of Death forgot about her?"

"Give her time," Dantalion quietly signaled to Rowan.

Dantalion and Rowan gestured to the armies to stay close together. The demons were glad to be allowed to leave the Realm of Goetia and venture into the first heaven, their reunion with the Four Kings of Hell testing their allegiance.

"Seducer of evil… thou has not tread in the realm that is death, but have come past the heat of Belial's divided place, across the blackness to you. You do not recognize my form. I have devoured the souls of the undead for too long. I have done many things, but have never forgotten you." Gwynnedd shape shifted, beautiful, as Samael remembered her, skin of ivory, hair the color of honey.

Rowan watched her transformation, knowing every power the 'Succubus' was capable of was a dangerous, yet valuable key to releasing me of my infernal prison.

All eyes were on Samael and Gwynnedd. Had Rowan and the demons of the Goetia not witnessed it with their own eyes, they would never have thought the harbinger of death to show mercy. He loved her then, and he still loved her now. Gwynnedd was worthy of an eternity with him.

Dantalion's plan to ally with them was working, and he and his armies closed in around them.

"We have brought her to you, here in this realm, to accompany us to the next. The Demonic Lord had evoked Gwynnedd from the Bones of the Dead, jealous of your love, cursing her for eternity. He has now cursed the one I love in his Southern infernal Realm, and it is time we pay him a visit and take back what is ours," Dantalion demanded of Samael.
