Dantalion of the Goetia: The Summoning - Page 51/67

Belial looked in disbelief at the Angel of Death and the 'Succubus', reunited once again. "Tis true the oath is upon us, but what say you, Dantalion, of the release of Samael from my realm? My brother hath cursed the 'Succubus' in jealousy of her love for the Angel of Death… what makes you think I should go along with this betrayal?"

Dantalion eyed Belial cleverly. "There is no betrayal on your part. You have passed the trial by releasing Samael as promised upon the signing of the oath. There will be no reclaiming of your realms if Satan and the others fail their trials. You can stay here or join us, the choice is yours.

Belial knew he would soon rule as Guardian of the Northern Realm. Auras of divinity, waves of opaque healing, and barriers of fire swallowed up everyone and everything as they shape shifted out of Belial's realm. Rowan's dark eyes glanced nervously over at Dantalion, wielding a barrier of fire while the other demons of the Goetia raised their razor claws, eyes blazing, displaying one form of magick or another. They were coming for me.

I didn't want to think about trials, oaths, or powers… what I really needed to think about was feeding. When my hunger started spiraling out of control, the brands triggered my powers to wield fire. A barrier of flames separated me from the jagged rock walls of Satan's lair.

Dantalion felt uncomfortably strange, his supernal powers as Guardian Angel temporarily put on hold.

"I see the second heaven…it is as I thought. The mortal realm will begin to feel the shift. They are under the power of the new Brotherhood…. Soon they will come to know their one power and one purpose only…world dominion."

"What… you mean like an apocalypse…the end of days?" Rowan's dark eyes squinted at Dantalion.

"Yes… world dominion empowered by them secretly… infiltrating the minds of mortals without their even knowing what has taken place," Dantalion motioned the demons toward the barrier of flames. "She is here."

Gwynnedd and Samael wanted their freedom, staying true to their allegiance with Dantalion.

"Tis the mere presence of Satan's realm makes thee want to tear his flesh from bone," Gwynnedd hissed.

"Nay…. Our union alone will torture his pride," the Angel of Death guided the others toward the winged demons high above Satan's lair.

"Thee knows this realm well," Gwynnedd gripped Samael's clawed hands.

"I, whose name is but a whisper, sitting upon the lips of the condemned… a reminder that death shall come to us all…. I knowest every darkest place of this earth. Where I tread, hell must surely follow," Samael chanted.
