Varun was called so he came to the stage who was dressed up in white dhoti and shirt. He had made sure to wear the buttons of his shirt. He then came and saw Shiva coming towards him with a garland. Shiva then honored Varun by making him wear the garland around his neck and they both went together the raised platform in the mandap.
After few minutes the pandit asked them to bring the bride. Varun who was sitting along with his family members saw the bridal room to see Maya. Maya came out with her friends along.
Maya was dressed in green embroidered silk saree with golden border. She was looking so elegant and graceful in it. The color complimented her well as everyone was able to see her cheeks glowing. She had applied light make up also wore a lip gloss. She had worn a gold necklace, jumkhi earrings, kada bangles and anklets.
Maya saw Varun and winked at him. He smiled seeing her and when she came he went to her near the steps and caught her hands and both went to the mandap together. Varun’s cousin Varshini wore the garland for Maya. Maya sat opposite to Varun with her family members.
By 5.30pm, the pandit started to read the lagna patrika (announcing the date of marriage to everyone) while reading it Maya saw Varun and they both had an eye contact.
