"IT, image processing, and a few other stations are downstairs. But this is the main floor where all the action takes place."
"All right, where would my desk be? Not downstairs I hope."
"No, actually it's directly across from mine." I walked over to his desk and he grinned.
"So, a desk in the middle of the action and across from you. I like it."
I blushed at the comment and noticed that he was looking at me. I too was having a hard time keeping my eyes off of him. But unsure of what to say I turned and showed him the Conference and Holding Rooms which were located to the left of the stairs.
"The Conference Room is where we meet and discuss important threats. So, apart from your desk, you'll be sending a good deal of time there."
"And the holding rooms are down that hall?"
"Yes, there are four with adjoining rooms that are set up with computers and cameras to keep an eye on the suspect."
"Just like at the FBI, simple enough."
I then led him down the hall to the right of the stairs that led to the locker rooms and medical clinic. I stopped in the hallway outside of the locker room.
"The lockers rooms are self explanatory."
"Agreed, so how is the medical unit set up?"
"The medical unit at the end of the hall is well equipped. Four rooms with eight beds and one room for small medical procedures."
"So, if anyone were to get injured in the field they'd be well taken care of?"
"Yes."
"Good to know."
We then took the elevator down to the cafeteria and went in. To my horror my stomach began to growl; it was either the sight or the smell of food. I wanted to kick myself for forgetting to grab a banana or apple on my way out the door this morning. I blushed a deep shade of red, but either he didn't notice or ignored it.
"I'm glad we ended here. I'm starving," he said. So, he had heard it and was being polite, how embarrassing! "Well, it's not the best but it's good when you're hungry," I said nonchalantly.
"I'd like to buy you breakfast since you gave me the grand tour."
"It's no big deal. I didn't mind." I really didn't. "No big deal?" He paused and grinned. "You took time out of your busy day to drag me around this place. I'm sure you had better things to do or places to be."
