A huge smile lit up my face and a few happy tears slid down it. "Yes! Keith. Yes!" He slipped the ring on my finger as a smile spread across his face. He stood up and I threw my arms around him and kissed him tenderly.
"You just made me the happiest man on earth, Mandy."
I put my hands on his face and looked into his eyes. "You made me the happiest woman, Keith. I love you so much and I never imagined even in my dreams that I would find someone like you. I thank God too that you love me. You are my soul mate, my true love and I know that no matter what life throws our way we are meant to be together. I know in your arms nothing can go wrong and that whenever I need you to hold me you are there. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, because life without isn't worth living. No one knows me better and no one makes me feel the way you do. I know it seems like things are going fast but I don't care, life is too short we both know that, and I want all the time I can get with you."
He couldn't help it and a few tears escaped, I kissed them away and he kissed me deeply.
"I love you," he said.
"And I love you."
"Oh, I almost forgot." He dug into his pocket and pulled out a silver band. He handed it to me. "I thought that you shouldn't be the only one to wear a ring during our engagement. I want people to know that I am taken. That I'm yours."
Tears fell down my face and he gently wiped them away. "Oh Keith, that's so sweet. Will you marry me?"
"Yes."
I put the band on his finger. "Now we belong to each other."
"Always," he said as he scooped me up into his arms.
I wiped away the tears as James came in. The look on his face said it all and I feared the worst.
"They dumped the van a couple miles away from the hotel. We're going to keep tracking and looking by satellite, but it's going to take time."
Time Keith and Pete don't have. I sighed. "So, it's not looking good?"
He crossed his arms. "No, but we will find them. They are two of our best agents, I have faith that it will turn out okay."
