"Sure Mr. Ellis tomorrow… Your son will see you tomorrow." The nurse promised as she assisted him in getting back to his room. Jayden watched the slow departure of his father and couldn't help but feeling a little sadness for the man.
What a pity that he had lived a life that revolved around other people; yet now that he needed them most they had abandoned him. Jayden felt sorry for his father for the first time in his life. Even though Mr. Ellis was not in his right mind and may not have understood exactly what was going on; he figured Mr. Ellis had enough instinct to sense that something was missing from his life. He knew that his family was missing and Jayden knew that the old man would be feeling alone, scared and lost. He knew it well because he had lived an entire life missing his father and had grown up feeling alone, scared and lost too. He figured that in Mr. Ellis present mental state the world must be even scarier when there were times when he didn't know even who he was. Jayden felt compassion and empathy for the man. Suddenly he realized something; this was the first time that he had encountered his father and he didn't feel like a worthless piece of shit. This was the first time that he didn't have a sudden urge to go out and fuck the first woman he saw standing. Abruptly he realized that he didn't need to be comforted using sex as a way to escape.
