"Men…" she seethed as she threw her handbag in one of the living room's chair and walked upstairs to her room. She was going to sleep and not think about him anymore. Her father was right; he had nothing to bring to her life except drama. Good bye and good riddance she silently said inside of her head writing him off and hoping to never hear from or see him again.

Jayden gave the number that Nita had given him several more tries.
"What the hell, voicemail again?" Jayden looked at his phone as he listened to the pre-recorded message. He was frustrated that Mia wasn't answering. He was sure that she would be happy to see that he was calling her. He was disappointed to learn that she wasn't sitting by the phone waiting for his call. He looked at his clock.
"Damn it's one o'clock. Where in the world could she be at this…" his words trailed off. Suddenly he had flashbacks of the things that he would be doing at one o'clock in the morning if he had his phone turned off. Then he remembered the other night. 'C'mon Mia let's go' Skip had said taking her hand and leading her out. Was she over Skip's place again? Was Skip over there skipping around in Mia's trunk?
"Damn just giving it all up to that old geezer." He mumbled under his breath as he began seething with anger. His imagination began running wild and he started thinking of all the things that he had done with women and he imagined Skip doing the same things with Mia. Would she let him, he wondered.
"Dirty old man. I'll kill that bastard." He hit the dashboard of his car in anger and then picked up his phone and dialed again.
"Hello?" Skip answered Mia's phone after hearing it ringing for what seemed like the tenth time. He had just walked in after pulling a double shift at the railroad yard and was about to prepare for bed to do it all over again in the morning.
Finally someone answered the phone Jayden thought. However it wasn't the voice that he had been hoping for. It was a dude.
"Who is this?" Jayden asked with an edge to his voice. He was livid and his eyes narrowed as he strained trying to recognize the voice.
"Who is this?" The man answered back.
"I asked first?" Jayden retorted.
"Yea but you called my phone."
"Is this Mia's phone?"
