Candee thought it was a fine idea, and Anne agreed, Julie said good, because I've spoken to the landlord, and it's ours if we want it, Candee chuckled, she figured it was a done deal as soon as Julie brought it up for about the third time now.
She made a mental note to speak to Starke about it; he would line up a crew to see about removing the wall between the shops as soon as possible. She had no doubt that he and Cameron would be involved along with some of their cop buddies all handy men on their own away from duty. Julie and Katie left then, to head home, so that she could start her own meal for her family, she was making every meal an event this week as if her boys were going to be starved at camp, knowing full well they would eat very well, she also knew they would miss their family, and mom's cooking.
The weekend arrived all too soon, and the Baylor family along with the Romel family were waving goodbye to the boys as they headed off for two weeks at camp. Julie and Candee both had tears streaming down their cheeks, their husbands teased, and teased them, by the looks of these two you'd think those boy's were going off to war.
When the new week had begun, Candee went into the shop, dropping Marie off at Julie's house and taking Jamie with her because some of those days, the men would be working on the wall, they decided to leave most of it for support but making a very large opening to pass through.
They carefully covered her side with heavy plastic, to keep the dust and mess at bay. She was on the phone with Julie often; keeping her up with the progress, the men would come and go different guys, on their days off. And either Starke of Cam would stop by to check on the job, Jamie was delighted with all the noise, and see his daddy or Uncle Cam popping in.
Julie stopped in on Friday of that week, and was pleased, the opening was finished off with trim molding, and the mess all cleaned up, as she wandered around the new room she was coming up with many idea's, and she was so pleased to see that this space had a much bigger storage room at the rear, this turned out to be a very good move indeed.
Candee joined her when she could with Jamie in her arms, and they looked the new addition over together bouncing ideas off of each other, they had such a compatible partnership; their ideas were very often the same.
