Back in Auburn, Drake was just opening the doors of his Boys and Girls Community Center. He was proud to be able to give back to the community after ending his football career. That was only one of several centers he had opened with his generosity. He invested his money wisely over the years. He didn't have to work another day in his life if he didn't want to. But, that was not in his nature. He was a dream maker. His dream came true the day he was drafted to play for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. Therefore, he tried to open as many doors as possible for the boys and girls that entered the center doors. Entering the A & D Community Center, Drake looked around with joy in his heart. The building was a topnotch facility. It consisted of its own gym, swimming area and other rooms used for recreation, as well as tutoring. There were swimming instructors and tutors provided for the kids who needed them.
The kids wouldn't be coming until after school was let out, but he had lots of paper work on his desk that he needed to wade through. When school let out for summer break, then the center would begin its summer program. The doors would be open from 8 A.M. 'til 7 P.M.
Going to his desk and sitting in his plush leather chair, he began to think about Alyssa. He knew she needed time to come to the realization that she needed him in her life as much as he needed her. When he wanted something as bad as he wanted Alyssa, patience didn't figure into the equation. It took everything in his power not to hop a plane or pick up the phone to call her, just to hear the sound of her voice. Thinking about the sound of his name on her lips, as she called his name when they made love, had him pulling his pant leg down to make room for his girth. The ringing of the phone brought him out of his illicit thoughts.
"Hey, what's up man?" he said, identifying the caller from the caller I.D. "Weston, I'm glad that you called. I wanted to ask you had you heard anything from Alyssa since she's been home."
"Yeah, I heard from her and she is doing good. Now, I have a question for you. What's going on between you two? And, don't say nothing, because I saw the look in your eyes when you two left together. You had the look of a predator who had his eyes on the prey," Weston said with a laugh.
