"You took so long. What did you do to her? What did you tell her?" Bill inquired suspiciously.
"Nothing. Don't worry yourself. The girl is such an angel I can disorganize her myself. I just left her a little bit more to worry about. This one is good. Don't break her or I'll kill you myself." Esther mentioned
"Esther, you told her!"
"Don't worry Mr. Perfect. I did not confess. You can pretend you don't like her I care less. Now will you push me to the gate?"
"Of course." Bill led Esther to the gate. Holding the two dresses on a hunger. At the gate, they whispered a few things into each other's ears. Bill handed the dresses to Esther like she was fragile. Only this time she did not lean in for a kiss like she had done for Linda. Bill bent done and placed a kiss on her lips. Then he hugged her again. Then he kissed her again, cleaned tears off her eyes and she walked out of the gate. When he turned, his gaze locked with Linda's. He stood firm, not betraying any emotions. Then he walked, like nothing had happened between him and Esther.
Linda remained where she was, gazing through the window. She was at loss of words when she thought of how to describe Esther's personality and character. She had trusted her. Like the two women had an unspoken bond and when she kissed Linda on the lips, Linda was even more perturbed. Was she bi-sexual? Was Esther really Bill's wife? Was it because of her sexual preferences that Bill chose not to live with her? Linda knew there was something and she had to find it. Why had Bill kissed her on the lips? Was the woman just too trusting that she'd had no problem living Linda in this house with her husband? The thought of Bill kissing the woman, then the woman kissing her, then Bill and the woman kissing again by the gate. She left the window. Convincing herself that she would brush it off. She went to the kitchen. She was still facing the window when she felt an extra presence in the room. Then she turned only to find Bill standing by the door.
"Hey, Linda. I am sorry about last night. Didn't mean to go to the extremes. Just said too much. I am sorry." Bill said
"It's okay. You were right after all" Linda replied
"No I was wrong. It was a mistake and I hope you can forgive me."
"No worry."
"Did she say anything?"
"Who? Your wife? She said her dress looks nice on me. That's all" Linda replied passively trying to hide any signs of her being kissed by Esther and liking it.
