Chapter 712: In the Same Area as the Wild Boars

"Why are you trying to kill me? Didn't we assassinate Sorrowless together and compete together? How could you bring hundreds of players to kill me?" Lu Li asked.
Regardless of who you were, if you couldn't defeat someone in a one-on-one, you would feel some shame.
"As long as I kill you, I, Unforgettable Maple, will be famous tomorrow. Who cares about how many players I brought to do it?"
This guy really insisted on putting the blame on Unforgettable Maple and Majin Temple. He simply did not know that Lu Li had already seen through his disguise.
His husky male voice had betrayed him and Unforgettable Maple's fighting style was much more refined. Besides, even if it was Unforgettable Maple, there was no reason to shout out his own name. He wasn't doing some glorious thing.
"Even if you have hundreds of players with you, you can keep dreaming," Lu Li laughed as he landed and barely managed to avoid a Hunter's Concussive Shot. There really were players everywhere.
Lu Li immediately changed direction and instantly transformed into a leopard.
Why didn't he turn into a Crow and fly away? Transforming into a crow took time, and he had to get out of combat. There was too much pressure from his attacker, so he had to use Shadowmeld to escape.
At this point, Lu Li's escape and Stealth skills had all been forced out of him. However, they were now faced with an impossible situation. They had a limited number of players and even if they spread out all their skills, the number of Wild Boars in the area would make it impossible to find Lu Li.
After turning into a Leopard, he had become much smaller in size and his HP had stabilized at around 20%.
He needed to find some kind of HP regenerating effect. Lu Li's Vampirism was quite strong, but he needed to attack someone for it to work. All the players were currently looking for him, so he didn't have a chance to attack anyone.
Even so, being a leopard wasn't without its disadvantages. For example, his line of sight was smaller, so it was harder to work how where his escape paths were.
All the races had various advantages and disadvantages. Lu Li's Leopard wasn't actually that good when it came to escaping. However, he had chosen to be a Druid in his previous life, so this form was very familiar. He could close his eyes and still control his character with remarkable dexterity.
It could be said that he was even more skillful as a Druid than as a Thief. By using the wind and humidity in the air, a Druid could detect enemies around him. With the Supreme Ring, Lu Li could make use of those Druid skills as well.
"Hey, I've been to a Zoo before. Are you a rabbit now?" Dancing Star Dream was slowly than Lu Li, so there was no way he was catching up.
After leaving behind Dancing Star Dream, who was his biggest threat, Lu Li kept charging ahead and ran into some Stealthed Thieves that were ready to fight. As this happened, his potion cooldown ended, so he quickly drank a bottle.
The Killing Star Bracer effect had long since expired, and these Gangnam Royal elites wouldn't be easy to kill.
As such, Lu Li just Stunned them and attacked them a few times to regenerate some HP before running away.
At this point, he could go into Stealth and channel his Crow Transformation. If he was uninterrupted for 30 seconds, he could then fly into the sky, and even 20,000 Gangnam Royal players wouldn't be able to do anything about that.
However, Lu Li didn't do that.
Thirty seconds was too hard to come by. The Wild Boar forest was full of players and if Lu Li was running around, he would probably get killed quite quickly. He couldn't help but worry for his other guild members, and whether they would have to face an assassination too.
There was no time to stop and ask the others, so Lu Li just kept running in a single direction.
From time to time, someone would discover him and cry out. A wave of skills would then fly in that direction and many players would charge at his position to attack him, but they were spread quite thinly. Even if they had a thousand players, they couldn't cover the entire Wild Boar Forest. Lu Li hid behind a tree and breathed a sigh of relief.
The System then told him that he was no longer in combat.
He quickly went into Stealth and sprinted away as his position was covered by a Mage's Blizzard.
The amount of coverage was quite impressive; Lu Li had to give it these damned players. Their response was so fast that they all had to be elite players.
Just as Lu Li was about to accelerate in Stealth, something suddenly caught his eye.
This kind of thing was generally just considered to be part of the environment; it wasn't that useful and was generally treated with contempt. Plus, it was dirty and smelly, so no one looked into it.
That's right, Lu Li had seen the Quilboar's small and crude tents.
Right now, he didn't really care about the dirtiness or smelliness. If he didn't hide soon, he wouldn't be able to run for much longer. There was a group of players behind him and there were more players around him, closing on his position. The circle was becoming tighter and most of his skills were on cooldown…
After going into the tent, Lu Li cautiously avoided the Quilboar that was asleep.
Quilboars were semi-active monsters, and would remain asleep as long as you left them alone.
Lu Li stood in the corner of the tent and began to channel his Crow Transformation.
Why didn't he hide here from the beginning then?
Well, there were only so many places to hide and these elite players weren't fools. After finding out that Lu Li had used Vanish in this place, they could quickly work out where he was by process of elimination.
"Where did he go?" Lu Li could tell that this was Dancing Star Dream from his unique voice.
"He's gone. He disappeared after going behind that tree," someone answered.
"Did he climb the tree?" Dancing Star Dream asked.
"Well, you can't climb trees in this game unless you have specific items. But, we looked at it and it didn't seem like anyone had climbed it."
The player who responded was the same one who witnessed Lu Li vanishing.
"Is there anywhere else he could have gone? Slowly close the circle, and don't let him escape!" Dancing Star Dream shouted into the channel.
There were only a dozen seconds left before the circle would be completely closed. As the voices went quiet, there were many players gathering and casting skills around randomly.
Some of the skills even hit the tent.
The Quilboar was awakened and rushed out of the tent before suddenly turning into a corpse.
"Oh no!" When Dancing Star Dream saw the Quilboar's body, an idea suddenly flashed through his mind and he raised his Magic Staff to cast Blizzard onto the tent.
