Chapter 13. The Breeze of the Day

The hot sunlight shined down on the city warming the sidewalks, streets, and buildings.

It beamed on the cement that made up the walls of buildings and reflects light. Silky white clouds slid by overhead in the blue sky. They put moving shadows on the ground. The clouds changed form and position. The clouds looked like ghosts. The still air started to move with a breeze that moved tree limbs, leaves, and clouds. Where bare spots of dirt were, wind kicked up dust that scattered about in the air. Dust settled on things that make them look dirty. The wind blew at and in between the buildings. It made the curtains in windows wave. The birds hit the wind and used it to climb to lofty heights. Moving air blew trash all over the place. The windy currents pushed over an out of this big city to roam freely about in the countryside. There things were more open and peaceful. Less people lived here. There were more grass, trees, plants, and crops in the countryside. Farms made food for people here. Nature was quiet and peaceful in the country lands. The glowing golden sun moved across the sky quietly. It gave the light and heat that made the daytime go as it goes. All was peaceful waiting for the sun to go down. The night had a cool balmy wind that was different from that of the daytime. It was more refreshing. The dark night was very quite and peaceful. The world went on as time let it.
