“I’m not complaining.”
“I am.”
She snuck under the covers next to him and rested her head on his shoulder.
She sighed, “It’s more disgusting than pitiful. I can’t stand it. How can anyone be without a character to such limit? I hate the guts of the likes of her.”
“Are you sure you’re not just being jealous? Ow, ow, ouch!”
“Jealous of what?” she warned. Her hand had shot in a flash under the covers and took a firm hold on his balls, just begging him to provoke her.
“Nothing. Nothing.”
“Damn right nothing.” She let out a hard breath and rolled on her back, her head resting on his arm, then said softly, “But you guessed right. That’s not all that makes me dislike her. There’s something else.”
“I thought it would take more than that to piss you off the way you did back there. What is it? Tell me.”
“I don’t know! I can’t point it out. Something is just off about her. Something that, that I can just feel but I don’t know what it is and it’s really pissing me off… She never stopped lying from her first word to the last, you know. A really bad liar.”
