Shaunelle went to bed feeling happier and more contented than she had felt in a long time, and woke up feeling the same. She couldn’t believe the way she was
feeling, confident and all. On retrospect, not even Dimitri had ever taken her to such heights nor made her feel confident as a woman. She had begun to wonder
to herself if she would ever feel this way again. The truth be told, she had even felt that she was not woman enough, she was no longer confident in herself in every respect. Everything had felt lost to her after her break up, and she had kept blaming herself, as she questioned "WHY?"
Maybe the infidelity was a blessing in disguise, she thought as it now appeared she would have settled for less, losing her identity in the process. It was like she
was a new person, she had found herself again, and it didn’t really have anything to do with T’Shaun and last night. It was more of an awakening. She wondered
what her friend Marcie would say to last night.
They met for breakfast and Marcie could instantly tell that her friend was different. She did not want to pry, but she couldn’t wait to hear all about it. This was the
last few hours of their vacation, as they were leaving just after lunch.
