Feeling light-headed, even jaunty, if such a word could still be used to describe the mental state of the modern male, Chief Inspector Lorne Michaels approached headquarters with his mind full of possibilities. He could return home to Scarborough. Or not. He could toy with a liberal measure of idleness. Or not. He could take much needed hols!

But now that the Belgian authorities are cooperating with Interpol, the pieces are beginning to fall into place, and this despite the reticence of the Russians and the Lebanese. Canada, the United States, South Africa, New Zealand, Brazil and Mexico all show signs of wanting to cooperate, but because these people belong to such high circles they are able to interfere with and quash legal action against themselves. He was able to do so with absolute impunity, and this despite widespread media attention and the wrath of the general public. This of course explains why the Internet is and remains unregulated, and why it is by far the greatest purveyor of child pornography. When your government refuses to respond to something like this, you have to then take a good long look at your people in government.
