The breeze was from the south, so the ships were tacking across the wind, listing over and running at a good pace eastward. The travellers had to dress warmly as the chilly air went through their clothing, and they watched the elves perform their ship's duties with cold hands and faces, their eyes teary from the cold wind. Julina, who had never set foot on a ship before, clutched the rigging in alarm when the ship first heeled over with the stiff breeze. Rhia had to laugh. Even Amrhost

watched her with a bemused expression. When she noticed his gaze, she glared back at him "What are you staring at?"

"I believe she's waiting for you to kiss her," Rhia jibed, coming closer, daring Julina to react.

"You-!" Gaping in disbelief at Rhia's jibe, with an angry sound, Julina let go of Amrhost's arm and went chasing after Rhia. Julina caught her at the rear of the ship, behind the wheel, and pinned her to the deck, her face a white mask of fury.
