She laughs aloud as she realizes what it's meant to be.

She runs her finger over the tail it holds like a bullwhip about to be cracked before picking it up winding it as she heads towards a cushion covered bed to sit.

She places it on a nearby trunk and the music starts to tinkle out of it. Another delighted laugh escapes her. She lays back watching the little monkey spin.

Her mind drifts to the fairs she used to attend with her mother as a child. Soon lost in those pleasant memories sleep takes her turning it into a very different sort of dream.

Holding her mother's hand they exit the tent holding the magician act. She is just telling her

mom why she thinks its fake when she is suddenly alone and the place looks quite different than her memory.

Looking down she realizes she is far from a child so this must be now. She shrugs and decides to explore.

Before long the places abandoned state of decay is evident. Nothing but rusted carts and rides.

All tattered tents and posters the only sound the creaking of the chains on the spinning swing ride.

Strolling among the detritus toward the center where the Big top and rings of a circus are usually set the silence hangs around her.
