Fancy's second night on the floor she was in charge of the whole floor by herself so she decided to use the middle nurses station because she could see at least half of all of the patient's rooms and the patients that was more critical could be seen from the middle nurses station. One of her Cardiac patients was having trouble and she did a EKG and called for a gurney to get him help from a ER doctor. He had a major heart attack on his way down to the ER . The ER doctor did revive him but minutes later he had another major heart attack and had to be revived a second time. He was rushed into surgery to have a pace maker put in to keep his heart beating. She asked the aide if that was the elderly man's brother who was there holding his hand. The aide replied that she didn't see any one. Fancy being a new born christian and studying about the angels in the bible and hearing people talk about guardian angels assumed that is what she must have seen
After about a week things seemed to settled down some or maybe it was Fancy who had really settled down into a fairly decent routine. She enjoyed her job. Her shift started at seven in the evening and ended at seven in the morning. She usually would stop in at her parents and talk while they ate their breakfst and she made sure tht they took their morning medicene then she would go to her little apartment and take a shower and go to bed. She was glad that she hadn't decided to take on being a dog owner because of her long hours first at nursing school and now her job. With her cat she just had to leave food and water and clean the cat pan every two to three days. She knew her cat missed her but when she got home he just curled up to her in her lap or next to her in bed.
