Preface

The daughter of a strict, but caring, hard working father, and a wonderful, loving, stay at home mother, Lindsey Strand was born and raised in what was considered to be a normal, middle class, neighborhood, in the city of Sacramento, capital of the state of California. Lindsey's parents were a devoted, married couple, who agreed in the importance of morals, values, and respect, and that these are the values that they wanted to instill in their children. Although Lindsey's parents struggled to make ends meet, Lindsey's family never went hungry, and in fact, they even ate better than most families. Lindsey’s mother was an excellent cook to say the least. Even though Lindsey’s parents struggled financially, they still managed to save enough money to afford a small, inexpensive, yet affordable family vacation for almost every summer year of her childhood. With four siblings in all, Lindsey was the middle child of 5. She had an older brother and an older sister, and a younger brother and a younger sister. The oldest of them, was her brother Kyle, who was born to their mother out of wedlock, before their mother ever met her father. Due to certain circumstances, Kyle was being raised by their grandmother Gertrude. Then there was Lindsey's older sister Laura. With just a few years between them, Lindsey and Laura had a close sisterly relationship. Lindsey's younger brother, (named after their father), was Mike Jr. (short for Michael ). And last but not least of Lindsey's siblings, and the youngest of them all, was her beautiful baby sister Angelina.
