I surveyed the room and noticed that the beige couch and matching coffee tables and end tables were still there. They needed dusted off along with the old tv, that was unplugged and still sitting in the corner. Taking my handkerchief out of my pocket, I proceeded to do some quick furniture dusting and knock down the cob webs that were attached to the walls and ceiling. After plugging the tv in and turning it on, I spun the old tuner to survey what channels came in. I remember Uncle Frank taking the back panel off to replace the tubes that were inside. Man, has a lot changed since then.

After fiddling with the rabbit ears (the antennae on top of the tv) I settled on a comedy show that had already started and quickly plopped down on the couch. It wasn’t long after sinking into the cushions that I fell asleep. A couple of hours passed and I woke to a commercial being shown.

“Mr. Rist is the man for us. A born leader. He knows how to bring about much needed change, “ the commercial was bragging.

“I am Mr. Rist and I approve this message. I will bring peace to this world, “ was the final statement of the commercial.
