A Simple Life of a Teenage Boy - Page 73/97

Father came home and I was there ready for a big lie. I was never so scared before. After having lunch, I texted James. After five or ten minutes, he called me. I was watching a TV show with everyone and then he called. I acted as if I didn't know anything. I received the call and talked with him for some five minutes. Then in that conversation he requested me to attend his birthday party. I pretended as if I had forgotten about his birthday. For about a minute I acted like he said something strange. Then I told him that I had to ask my parents for that matter. Then I handed over my phone to dad and told him that it was James. He knew him well so I skipped the introduction part. Father talked with him for about five minutes. After ending the conversation, he talked with me. He asked me if I wanted to go or not. I told him that I always wanted to visit America and that to never miss James invitation. He then talked with my mom and asked me how long it would take. I told them 45 days would be enough. After they saw how desperate I was to visit United States, they then gave me a positive response. Father told me that he would ask his friends who were working in U.S. Embassy about the VISA Procedure. So, I had to wait until the other day to actually confirm everything.
