A Simple Life of a Teenage Boy - Page 79/97

Next Day,

I found the location of Jenny. South Seattle Hospital is a 45 min drive from here. I drove there and found the hospital. My heart was beating loud as I was moving closer to see Jenny. It was such a long wait. The next part of my heart was scared because of her condition. What if she is in a very much critical situation? But that doesn't matter because my happiness covered my fearful thoughts. I asked where Jenny Fischer was at the information desk of the 1st floor of the hospital. My breath was shaky as I rushed to Ward E-4. It was on third floor. I wondered how she looked like after these many years. I went and went and there she was. A light glimpse of Jenny was seen from the outside door of Ward E-4. There was a woman inside talking with her and a nurse. Jenny Fischer was looking outside of window from where she could see the view of entire Seattle. Her face was pale and had lost some weight. Her hair was floating smoothly towards the direction of wind. My heart beat was faster than the beat of a drum. I was building enough courage to enter the room and face her. I bought some flowers to give her. It would be totally awkward to see someone sick after such a long time with an empty hand. Someone who is loved so much. I have waited all my life to see her and it was the moment. So then I pushed the door and entered inside. They all looked at me. The nurse went and the three of us were left.
