A Simple Life of a Teenage Boy - Page 81/97

"I didn't think you would come to visit me" Jenny said with a happy face.

"No it's not a big thing." I replied.

After sometime her mother left saying "Peter take good care of her." And I gave her a positive response.

We then talked the whole day. I was happy being with her but she was saying strange things like she may not live. I comforted her saying "Don't talk such things. You will live Jenny. I'm sure of it" She then smiled saying "I knew you would say that. You never said bad things ever in school and not even now. You are just a kind person. I'm glad I met person like you."

I then hold her hand and said "It will be okay. Don't worry Jenny. You will be okay. I know it." Then she smiled back at me. That same smile which made me fall for her in an instant.

We talked a lot about each other and our school's friends. I told her about all our school friends who were all in their own path. None of them was with me. She said, "Time really flies, isn't it?" and I said, "Yes it does."

I then asked her about her disease. She said it was "Schwannoma neurofibrosarcoma" I couldn't understand what it was. She said that it was some sort of rare disease. It was a malignant tumor which was in her backbone. The doctor suggested a surgery to take out the tumor but it would risk her life to 50/50 chance of survival. I was shocked to hear that and felt bad. I was scared after she told me that. The tissue was growing more and more. So the final option was to do a surgery. The doctors even tried to reduce the size to a normal level but that didn't help either. She was gonna do chemotherapy tomorrow and her surgery would be after 5 days.
