She felt embarrassed and he could see it but she maintained her composure.

“You heard everything?” She asked him, cringing with some annoyance.

“You’d be surprised with what we hear,” and he actually cracked a smile. His bright white teeth made an appearance for the first time and Aliziana was almost blinded by the reflection in the mirror. What took him so long she wondered.

“Oh, I’m sure you hear all nasty things,” she told him emphatically, the warmth of embarrassment leaving her cheeks, “it would be interesting to hear some stories - maybe even a little name-dropping, “ she asked curiously, hoping he would tell her some amusing stories like Riley would about their local celebrities, musicians and politicians.
