A Love To Remember (Her Memory) - Page 15/20

My heart is beating fast and my face is as red as tomato. I don't know what just

happened some moments back. It was so fast and unimaginable. I'm inside my room now and the party is over. After I went to help Rylee, something unexpected happened. I kissed her. I never thought I would do something like that. It was so sudden. But it felt great. I didn't have any ill motives though. We took some few fireworks and went to our favourite spot near the jungle. The place where we would observe fireflies lit up the whole place. The fireflies were still there, shining as bright as ever. The stars were above in a dark night. The sound of nearby jungle was astonishing. Everything was so perfect. The moment was alive. I was there in the moment, neither in my imagination nor my journal book. I was there breathing out there. My heart was pounding. We had two fireworks to light up. We thought it would be great in a place like that. She was so happy and I looked at her happy face. I was trying to light it first but then she grabbed the match sticks from my hands and told me that she wanted to do it first. Then again, we decided to fire both at the same time. The fireworks flew high above and blasted. The sky was full of colourful lights. I looked at her face and thought that it was the right moment. Then I grabbed her hands, pulled her towards me and gently kissed her lips. It was like a scene out of a movie. I didn't have any second thoughts. My heart pounded even faster and my cheeks turned hot and red. She smelled so great when I got so close. Her lips were like soft rose petals. I felt her breath coming out of her nose. Then I suddenly came back to my normal self and thought, "what am I doing?" I was scared and my face was as red as tomato. I didn't know what to say next. I was so scared that she might get angry. But she wasn't. I looked at her face and knew that she felt embarrassed. Her face was red like mine. I escaped after greeting her "Happy fourth of July".
