Amanda received a letter in the mail stating exactly what required courses that she needed. Ashley received hers the next day although she already knew the courses from Amanda's letter. They signed up for online History and Geography courses and would be required to go to the community college for their lectures and test. The already knew with aunt Rosa's mental condition what they had to do.

​ Taking courses online would provide them with their education plus being able to help around the house. Uncle Jason the only other relative they had told the girls that when both aunt Rosa and him passed away they would inherit both the city house and the farm. Neither of the young women had a boyfriend and didn't even want one. None of the young men deserved any attention of theirs.

​ They decided that they had to sit down and figure exactly what career they wanted when they were finish with their education. They had already ruled out insurance business, accounting business, anything to do with the health care business.and they sure knew that they wasn't going to spend their time working in the labor field. the artistic field was also out. Ashley could draw a little better than Amanda

​ They loved the city house but the farm was more secluded where they would have more privacy. They realized that they may become old maids and wouldn't have a family of their own. The first lecture they attended was in their history course. They was required to research the Civil War. They realized while doing their research that they had a famous general as an ancestor.
