Lucas was always happy to see Samatha and He didn't say much when he picked up and then brought Norman back home. Norman could see he was smitten by Samatha. He once made a comment to his big sister which she gave him a look which if looks could kill he would be dead.On the fourth of July the lake sponsored not only a picnic, a movie about independence day event then watched a good size firework displayed bought by both the facuality of tha lake boys home and the city of Quiet Meadows and shot off by the fire department.
During the evening entertainment events Lucas and Samatha sat on the top bleacher handing hands. Lucas began to pick Samatha up on weekends. They would go horse back riding. Samatha got to see a lot of the land surrounding Quiet Meadows. There was a ghost town where they rode to several times. Samatha's favorite building was the hotel with a bar downstairs in it. Lucas told her that the hotel and other buildings was haunted. The group of boys from the boys home went along with the few teenagers from Quiet meadows and fixed the old buildings up Samatha invited a couple of her friends from their old town to visit her
The next city council meeting they asked permission to to hold an old wild west shindig at the ghost town. She was told the town needed a lot of repairs. The city council saw a tape of the teenagers fixing up the town. They were very impressed and approved the shingdid and parade. Samatha and her two friends printed posters Emma and Alley promised Samatha that they could pass out some to their schoolmates.They scedule the event for August the seventeenth and eighteenth. Every resident of Quiet meadows and sourrounding farmers were on board. The women's group posted posters in Winters Haven and sat up a tent and rented out booths to the businesses and craft makers
