The next morning Dr. Malachi greeted her class and introduce them to the visting dean. She started with since my first lecture we have studied Frankenstein and discovered there actually was a Dr. Frankenstein who did experiments with different body parts from variuos cadavers. Then the vampire legend started with Count Vlad the Impaler who hung his enemies up and drank their blood. He thought that made him even stronger. The witch legend came from the belief in the supernatural specifically in the Devil's practice of giving humans (witches) the power to harm others in return for their loyality. It emerged in England as early as the fourteenth century

.An actual famous trial known as the Salem Witch trial was held in Salem Mass. in the 1600's when a group of girls accused several of Salem's women as witches. The Devil himself has it's roots in the Bible. He was an angel who became bad and God kicked him out of heaven. I'm not getting involved any farther than that because I strongly believe that is the right for an indivual person to decide if there is a God or Devil. I have heard various pastors say if you believe in God then you have to believe in the Devil because they go hand in hand so no matter which one you believe in then you have to believe in the other.
