When the newest residents moved into Snow Cap Ridge Dr. Richard Allison and his wife Clarabelle the community realized that their town was overdue for a little hospital. If anything tragic happened like aanother avalanche there still wouldn't be enough medical help and since the last one every year the snowfall amount had been increasing. The only construction company was hired to build a small hospital. The city gave up the biggest open park area it had.
The company was abled to work all summer on the one level hospital. It had ten patient rooms, one emergency room, a desk that sat outside the emergency room that had a sign stating check in desk. A little business office.In the back part was the radiology office, a lab, and medication room. A three story house close to the hospital was desinated for the nurses and doctors to stay. Dr. Allison pulled rank with a couple of doctors that had their intership under him when they were doing their residency and now was on the board of the nearest big city's hospital.
In no time the hospital was up and running. Snow Cap Ridge soon had grown to double the size. At first the hospital had their small cases such as tonsils being taken out, tubes put into children's ears, appendix taken out, broken bones, All that would have had to go to the big city but now could be taken care of in town. The hospital celabrated their first baby being born there. The new comer had lots of gifts from the town's local businesses. The family recieved a crib, a stroller. a high chair,
