It was dinner time & all were having their dinner when Rani broke the news of Shreya being in the final 100 contestants. Shreya was clueless about what her mom meant. She never aspired for fame or recognition. Participating in this contest meant exploring a different territory altogether. The thoughts were scary. Rani made her understand that winning was definitely not their aim. The exposure, the aspects that she would get to learn in the 45days training would be a lifetime experience to cherish. Her perspective of life would go through a sea change only if she decided to step out & see people from different walks of life. She said,”Handling fame is not easy beta…just see this as a learning phase. I am sure you would love it.” Though not sure how her life would,be taking shape, Shreya abided by what her parents said as an obedient child.

Next month 45days training for the contest began. The training ranged from honing one’s diction, polishing on the talent, yoga training, choreography for ramp walks, basic make up skills, dressing skills, etiquette training, image management, stress management, time management, diet, exercise & a strict routine to be followed. There was a fixed timing for the day to begin & to end the day as well. Experts from each field were a part of this training. Shreya found a few things awkward in the beginning, but gradually she opened up with her fellow contestants & thoroughly enjoyed the process of grooming. She could see her new self…from a 10th standard girl to a beautiful woman. She felt confident within. She got the courage to face the world. Suddenly a woman was born who was set to conquer the world. She thanked her mom daily for giving her this opportunity & this time there was a winning streak inside her. Winning the pageant was her passion now…not a dream. She had set her eyes on the crown & was confident to conquer it. This 45days training transformed her completely…it was a life altering experience for her.
