“Seriously what’s up?”
“Laya, I’m going to say this to you but I really don’t want you discussing this in front of my brothers.”
“O k.” now I’m a little worried.
“Look I’m only telling you this because it isn’t your fault and I know you are completely oblivious to the effect you have on the opposite sex and possible even some females too. I mean I’m really happy for you, I haven’t seen you so happy, but, if you haven’t taken notice, all my brothers have feelings for you. And I’m not just talking about a crush here, I mean each of them have fallen in love with you.”
I laugh; this is some sort of joke.
“Look Kale spoke to me, and I know he feels a little strongly but the rest of them just see me as a friend, even for the dance, yes they asked me, but all of them told me that the reason they’re asking is because they didn’t want me to be a loser who went alone, which by the way I still was.”
“No Laya! I swear they all love you, I mean ever since last Friday, each of them have come to me separately confessing their undying love for you, I swear they are driving me crazy, as soon as the first one leaves the next one starts. I didn’t get any sleep on Friday or Saturday night, thanks to my all night counseling sessions, and they were asking me if I think that you are into Julian, and if they you tell you how they feel, how do I think you would react and blah, blah, blah. Then today you guys kissed in front of everyone, Julian was obviously staking claim on you, so now they are all moping around feeling heartbroken. I know you are happy and believe me. I am so not trying to take any of that away from you, but I’m speaking to you, so that you would at least understand, so that maybe you won't rub it in their faces, they are depressed, so please I mean I love you, but they are my family and I really don’t want to see them hurt.”
