Myra was made to sit on a small stage and all the elders blessed her. She was gifted lots of clothes, toys and baby things. When her mother in law’s turn came she simply gifted her a baby suit and did not even wish her.
“Mother you did not wish Myra?”
“Why do I need to wish her . She has married you Ritwik the richest man in Singhania clan and instead of being happy she has left you and lives on her own trying to prove that you are not fit to be her husband while she herself is involved with her boss.”
Myra was shocked on hearing all this and that too in front of everyone. She simply started to cry.
“Mother how can you speak like this? I know that you don’t get along with her but accusing her of an affair when she is pregnant with my child is just going too far. You leave the party immediately. I will not tolerate anyone humiliating my wife.”
Ritwik had been observing everyone at the far end of the room. When his step mother went to wish Myra he knew she would create some sort of scene so he had jumped at her accusations.
Even Sagar was shocked at his mother’s accusations so he did not try to stop her.
