Cia had planned on a simple menu of vegetable soup followed by mungi dal pakodas as starter and then khatta jhimkand, kali dal and masala fried okra as main dish. For desert she planned on fresh cream with fruits. No pahari desert , a conventional desert would do in this case.
She finished her cooking by 6 pm , showered again. This time she dressed carefully, wearing along red halter neck chiffon top with a black pencil skirt. She applied a little eyeshadow , a bright red lipstick and decided to keep her hair open. Long golden earings completed her look. She tried to convince herself that she was dressed since it was a dinner but inwardly she knew she had dressed up to please Jay. The entire week she had seen him with beautiful women so she wanted to impress him. Her heartbeat had accelerated anticipating his reaction to her. She had not forgotten that kiss which had happened a week ago.
Jay made her feel things which Ajay had never been able to do so. His kiss had been short but she had not wanted it to end. It was totally against her nature because she believed herself from a respectable family and such things were looked down upon.
Jay was punctual as usual. He looked dashing in a blue jeans with a Tommy Hlifigger T- shirt. He was carrying a bunch of beautiful flowers which Cia placed in a vase on the table. The bottle of red wine she placed in the kitchen.
