Innocence to Bravery - Page 171/181

Hearing the words DISABILITY, Arya felt as if like some ice has been pricked through heart. He was unable to figure out what could have happened wrong. His eyes started to tear up and he was managing to control himself but unable to do so the tears fell from his eyes and rolled down through his chin. He still couldn’t speak up anything to the doctor.

He mustered his voice and spoke,” Can I see him?”

The doctor was about to nod him YES but a nurse suddenly barged inside and said,” Doctor, Please come with me.”

The doctor understood that there must be an emergency sensing the tone of the nurse and excused herself and went behind the nurse.

Arya was frozen. He wasn’t sure what he must do now. He sat there for a while and only after few moments he realized the nurse who was the same person who was monitoring his son.

He ran to the room where his son was monitored and saw that the doctor was doing CPR for his son who was just born few moments ago. The nurse saw him so they pulled the curtains and forced the door shut.

Gayathri saw him running towards a room so she came and saw a totally different Arya who was banging the door and trying to peek at least a small movement of his son.

Gayathri came and held him. She saw him crying so she asked,” What happened?”

He couldn’t handle any more of this. He broke down crying on the floor. Lakshmi came running and saw him. She hugged him and said,” Nothing will happen. We are there with you.”

She then saw Gayathri and asked,” What happened?”

Gayathri was also unaware of the situation so she gestured she also doesn’t knew.

Arya cried out loud on his mom’s shoulders. Lakshmi couldn’t understand anything but she still kept him pacifying. She then said,” Tell me what happened.”

Arya was about to say but then the doctor came out. Arya got up and asked her,” Is he okay?”

Gayathri and Lakshmi was now able to understand that there is something wrong with the child. They both came forward and stood beside him to listen to the doctor.”

The doctor looked up them and said,” Sorry. We tried but the child died.”
