The birds were chirping and the sun had raised in the east allowing its beam of light to pass through the window which fell on Adhira’s eyes. Adhira who was in her early twenties is pursuing her Engineering degree. She was lean and wheatish in color who was about 5’5” of height. She was innocent and sensitive by nature. She was from a middle class family so they had decided to get her married soon once she had completed her degree.

Adhira slept late yesterday night as she had so much backlogs left to study for her final semester. The suns beam falling her face was irritating her eyes so she woke up and found time to be 6 o’clock. She cursed herself,” Oh God! How irresponsible I am? How can I sleep like this? I still have to do my revision or else I may flunk this time.”

She went to refresh herself, came back and sat on her study table. She opened her Total Quality Management book and started to revise it. Meanwhile her mom woke up and came to her room. Adhira’s mom, Dhivya was in her fifties had bathed early in the morning, dressed up in pink saree with matching blouse. She had placed a sindoor on her hand and was mumbling the Pooja chants to herself. She saw Adhira already woken and sitting in her study table who was moving back and forth while saying the memorized lines from her book.
