It took a month for Jiyas father to recover . After a month Jiya went back to work for the Singhania Corporation.
Nikhil had returned to work . He was still upset with their broken engagement but had come to terms with the fact that Jiya actually did not love him.
There was one more person Jiya had to apologise. She along with Sagar went to meet Nikhil's mom.
"Madam I have come to apologise To you for carrying out the charade of the false engagement . I should have cleared everything right away . The second apology is for hurting your son"
"Jiya I fully agree that my son loves you deeply . You are his first love so it is going to take some time to get over you . But I had noticed that day also that you were not madly in love with him."

Jiya was relieved that Nikhil's mom was very accepting of her relationship with Sagar .
Infact Ritwik had also welcomed her into their family and Bindu though not very happy had accepted her .
