Faint glimmers of the moon, that dominated the sky, were washing deadly silent streets. As far as one could look , there was no sign of life. The once lively city of the day retreated to deadly stillness of night. People were hiding in the safe haven of their homes.

In the deafening silence quick steps could be heard. A frail girl of 15 or 16 was being chased by a couple of scoundrels. Her brilliant black hair flowing back shone under the moon. She looked back acutely.

"Stop you bitch!", cried the scoundrel.

Her eyes glinted with devious disposition. Her heart was pounding in her ears. Her breathing was unsteady and shaky from exertion. For a spectator, she looked like a pure pristine girl who was as fragile as glass. She was no match for those bulky men.

The girl was fast and agile. Her movements were swift but what could one do if the fate has other arrangements?

Eventually she was was halted by the blind end of an alley. She frowned and whirled to change her path but the exit was already blocked by the scoundrels.

One of them laughed sinisterly, "Got ya, where would ya run now!"

She was trapped. There was no way out. Now there was no choice other than hand to hand combat.
