Maxine took photos on her cellphone of Kelsey's new Isabel and sent it to Andrew. She painted a picture of Kelsey with Isabel and then framed it and hung it on the wall just inside Kelsey's room close to the her bathroom door. They were turning into best buds just like the person that Kelsey named her dog after. Every thing was great until Andrew found out about the dog. He demanded Maxine to get rid of the dog. He told her he had just came down with an allergy to dog hair.
Maxine had a gut feeling that it was something else going on with Andrew but couldn't put her finger on any thing in particular. Andrew's calls was coming in now almost daily when it had been almost two years from not hearing from him. Maxine knew something had happened but she couldn't get him to tell her anything. Every time he called he never asked about Kelsey or her it was have you got rid of that no good hound yet. When Maxine said no, he would hang up.
Maxine remembered when Andrew was attending college in Missouri, one day she asked Andrew when he was coming home. She told him that the dog could stay in one the outer buildings and she could get the house a deep clean. He agreed and told her he would be home. He didn't stay long and when he was home he argued with her about Kelsey's dog how she was always taking her side on every thing. He seemed to just pushing her buttons and one day Maxine just left with Kelsey for the day.
When she came back he had tossed the office for something. Maxine wondered what it was that he was looking for. He claimed he must have left the patio door open and a gust of wind had blown the things around the room. Maxine knew that was not the case and vowed to herself that Andrew wasn't acting like himself and she was bound determined to get to the bottom of it.
He told Maxine he was going to see an old friend and would be back later that evening. Maxine looked around and nothing else seemed to be amiss so she just shook it off until she went up to her art studio and noticed a couple of her paintings that she had appraised was missing. She then knew that was what he had been looking for in the office. They were a two painting set of public figures .while they had visited the town a few years before. They were now wanted for a crime. Who knows how much they were be worth now.
