"Perhaps I could be of some help," Jenius said, and produced an orb from his pocket. "Tell me, Skori, do you know what type of matrix her CPU runs on? I'd ask for her codec number, as it'd be easier to use in order to find her, but I know how sensitive most androids are about that."

"I know the type," Seriil said. "L-10. You won't find that many Setru models with it. May I see your orb?"

Jenius passed the orb to the white-haired android. Once he held it securely in his hands, Sedriil closed his eyes, and it began to glow its soft, radiant blue.

"I found her," he said after a moment, and then handed the orb back. "She's on her way back; she's right at the door, as a matter of fact."

No sooner than he had finished his sentence, the front door opened, and Alaema came in. Completely oblivious to the state of the house or the lack of priests at the front door, she hummed to herself. There was a carefree spring in her step.

"Oh, you're all awake!" She said brightly, but then at last seemed to realize the situation. She stopped, and glanced about the living room at the silent faces of her family, and two unfamiliar persons: one well-groomed human, and an official-looking elf with long, silvery hair: both in ATF uniforms.

"Was I … late for the ceremony?" She asked dumbly.

"Sister, where were you?" Sedriil said, folding his arms imperiously -for all the good it would do.

"I was out taking an early walk, if you want to know," Alaema replied haughtily, attempting to move past him. But before she could take another step, she was stopped short by and Garen.

"The truth, Alaema," Garen said.

"Gentlemen, we really don't have time," Tescadji said, glancing at his pocket watch. "We have to go. I have a terrible feeling that-"

"And as for you," Skori said, pointing sternly at Tescadji, "you practically broke into my sister's house, woke me up, put this entire house in an uproar, and still haven't told me what's going on! Now with all due respect, if you want another step out of any of us, you and the chief, here" -he gestured inclusively at Jenius- "are going to have some data for all of us, and I mean now!"

Tescadji sighed, acknowledging defeat. He glanced at Jenius, who nodded acquiescently, although his face seemed extremely tired.
