My phone vibrated in my purse, but I let it go to voicemail as Darryl handed me a glass.
"You would need this to keep awake. Art shows can be quite boring at times." brushing a strand of her from my face. I laughed, feeling a little ease.
At least I wasn't the only one who thought so.
Darryl leaned in closer and my breath hitched at his close proximity.
"I only came because I was invited, but now I am ready to go home and bend you over my sofa...By the way, what kind of panties are you wearing?"
"Black lace" I choked, spilling some of my champagne on the richly carpeted floor.
The server returned carrying a silver tray filled with puffs and tiny square cheesecakes. He offered us a plate, but I don't think I could eat a bite, right now.
Although I could do with putting on a few pounds, my eyes scanning the alcohol fueled crowd looking for Jamie and Trey.
His eyes crinkled with his smile, taking two plates. He was about to open his mouth and say something, which I am sure is of a sexual nature, but I didn't get to learn what he had to say as Jamie's parents approached us.
"Adela" her face lighting up from across the room when she saw me and my date. "That dress is stunning."
